Joseph and Lindsey’s Letter

Dear Birth Mother,

We are humbled and honored that you are reading this letter to learn more about us. We can’t wait to learn more about you! Our desire is to raise a child who understands the importance of adoption, the sacrifice you made, and the love that you have for them. We want to include you in our lives and make you known to our child.

We know that you have made a lot of difficult and heavy decisions to get to this point and we admire the strength, bravery, and love you have for your child. One of our favorite hymns is Great is Thy Faithfulness. The line of the song that resonates with us the most is “strength for today and bright hope for tomorrow”. This verse has been our prayer through many of our own struggles in life, including years of infertility and grief, but is also the prayer we are praying for you and your baby. We are praying that the Lord continues to provide you with the strength you need to not only physically grow your baby, but also the emotional and spiritual strength you need to carry you throughout this journey.

Adoption has been something the Lord pressed upon our hearts many years ago. Both of us have seen the beauty of adoption firsthand in the lives of our families and friends. We believe that adoption is a representation of Christ’s love for us. While we faced many hardships to reach this point, we always knew that adoption was something God had called us to do in His perfect timing. We are excited that our path is crossing with yours.

We met when we were both in high school and quickly found many similarities between ourselves including being the youngest of our siblings, having a strong love for baseball, and being family oriented. We have been married almost 9 years and still have so many things in common. We enjoy hiking, playing pickleball, and being outside with our dogs. Joseph enjoys grilling, playing video games, and all things Star Wars. Lindsey enjoys sewing, reading, and baking. Joseph is a physical therapist and Lindsey is a kindergarten teacher. Both of us enjoy getting to help and serve others around us through our jobs. We are active members of a small church and are involved in a variety of church activities. We have a lot of support coming from our family and friends, many of whom have also adopted kids before.

We thank you for taking the time to read our letter and hope that it gives you a glimpse of the love, joy, and care we have for our family and friends. We hope that it extends to you as well as you prepare to make another difficult decision. Please know that we are praying for your strength, yours and your baby’s health, and your hope.

With much love,
Joseph and Lindsey Vasquez
