Jeff and Jen’s Letter

Dear Birth Mom,

We want to begin by saying how much we admire your strength, courage, and the love you are showing in considering an adoption plan. We know this is not an easy road, and we are holding you in our prayers as you walk through this deeply personal and emotional time. We believe with all our hearts that God is with you, and we are trusting Him to lead and guide you every step of the way.

We’re Jeff and Jen, and we believe that God writes the best stories. From the very beginning of our relationship, we dreamed about having a big family. Jeff grew up with two older brothers and has always believed more kids just means more fun (simple math!). Jen, on the other hand, was an only child for most of her childhood and always longed for siblings. God placed a strong desire in both of us to have a full, lively home surrounded by little ones—and we believe that adoption is one of the most beautiful ways He does that.

Adoption has been on our hearts for years, and after having two beautiful children and then walking through some unexpected infertility, God started opening our eyes and our hearts even wider. He surrounded us with amazing families—especially in our school community—who had been blessed by adoption, and through them, He made it clear to us: now is the time.

We live in Dallas now, but we’re both originally from the Midwest (we like to say we’re a little bit country, a little bit city!). We met in college in Wisconsin, and early in our relationship we had the wild adventure of living in Moscow, Russia for three years while studying the language and culture. It was a once-in-a-lifetime experience that shaped us deeply and gave us memories we still cherish. When it was time to settle down, we came back to the U.S., planted roots in Texas, and got married in 2014.

Jeff works in consulting and is a devoted, hands-on father. He is steady, kind, and goofy—he truly delights in being a dad and leading our family with love and integrity. Jen is a full-time stay-at-home mom who homeschools our children part-time through a hybrid school model. She is deeply committed to raising our children in the knowledge of God’s love and truth, and she finds great joy in nurturing their hearts and creating a warm, welcoming home. Before stepping into full-time motherhood, she ran a successful vintage furniture business for many years and still loves home design as well as cooking and being outdoors with the family.

Family is the heartbeat of our lives, and we are surrounded by a strong, supportive community of friends, neighbors, church members, and school families who love us and walk closely with us. Our lives are centered on faith in Jesus Christ, and we believe that a child thrives best when surrounded by consistent love, truth, and a deep sense of belonging. Our children, Weston (9) and Ellie Mae (6), are beyond excited about welcoming a new sibling. They talk and pray about it often, and it’s been beautiful to see their hearts already overflowing with love for a baby they haven’t even met yet.

If you choose us to be part of your child’s story, we will raise him or her with the utmost love, care, and intentionality. Your child will grow up knowing their story is rooted in love—your love, God’s love, and the love of a family that cherishes them. We’ll fill their days with laughter, adventure, traditions, bedtime prayers, and Sunday mornings at church. We will nurture their gifts, cheer them on every step of the way, and create a childhood filled with warmth, adventure, and strong family bonds.

We are open to whatever level of contact feels right for you – whether that’s photos, texts, occasional updates, or something more. We will honor you and your role in your child’s story always.

Thank you for considering us. We’re praying that God would fill you with peace, give you clarity, and surround you with His comfort no matter what decision you make. You are already a blessing, and we are grateful for the chance to share a little bit of our hearts with you and your child.
