Chad and Micah’s Letter

Dear Expecting Mother,

We are excited to have the opportunity to introduce ourselves to you. We recognize you are making a hard, but incredibly courageous, decision to choose life, and we admire your strength and bravery. Please know how much you are loved both by us as well as by God. We are praying for God’s peace and guidance as you consider an adoption plan for your baby.

We are Chad & Micah. We met working at a youth summer camp during college. We were married 2 years after that on a summer night in 2010, and have enjoyed many adventures together since. We are still best friends and love to have fun and make one another laugh. We started trying to grow our family 8 years ago. After many years of heartbreaking, failed fertility treatments, we found out that we couldn’t have kids naturally. We prayed that God would open a door for us to become parents and in 2020, we were blessed through adoption of our daughter, Karis. Now we feel God has stirred our hearts to welcome another child into our home to love and cherish.

Not only is Karis over the moon to be a big sister; but our nieces and nephews are also excited to have a new cousin to love on and play with, and our parents are ready to spoil another grandbaby. Our church family has been praying alongside us and is extremely supportive too. We are excited to be able to raise our child surrounded by such a loving community of family and friends! Besides spending time with our family and friends, some of our favorite activities to do are getting out into nature where we can hike, camp and roast marshmallows for smores. We enjoy playing at our nearby parks, going to sporting events, playing board games, reading books, and taking walks as a family. However, our favorite thing to do is seeing the world and serving others where we can. Through many mission opportunities with our church, we have been able to travel and serve people in various countries like Brazil, Honduras, and Zambia, Africa. We are most fulfilled when we are giving, loving and caring for others. We are blessed to have the summers off from work to do this because we are both teachers. Chad is a junior high math teacher and Micah teaches Spanish at a christian school for all grade levels. We love reflecting God’s love into our students’ lives and we feel blessed that we have been called to this profession.

We want you to know, your child would be raised in a home with parents who love them unconditionally, who support them as they grow and whose faith and hope is firmly secured in the Lord. God has a special plan for the life growing inside you and we will continue to pray for you both. We are grateful that you are considering us as possible adoptive parents for your baby. We look forward to getting to know you better and walking this journey alongside you.

With love and blessings,
Chad & Micah
