Dear Expectant Mother,
We pray for you often and think about what you may be feeling—emotionally, physically, and spiritually. Our hope is that you experience God as the Good Shepherd who leads you beside still waters, and that His comfort and compassion surround you. We pray for your precious baby as well—that they will know the love of Christ from a young age and see that same love reflected in the thoughtful, caring choices you are making.
Although we don’t know your story, we already see the deep love you have for your baby in the very fact that you are reading this. Your child will grow up knowing your courage and sacrificial love. If chosen, we will nurture your baby in a home where they are fully known, deeply loved, and supported every step of the way.
We are Hunter and Karissa. We met in the summer of 2020, married in 2022, and now love the simple, special life we share with our daughter, Charlotte. Adoption has been on our hearts since our earliest dating conversations, and walking closely with families who have adopted only strengthened that desire. After experiencing a heartbreaking miscarriage and taking time to heal, we felt led to grow our family through adoption.
Karissa loves baking bread, working out, and slow Saturday mornings together as a family. She is not afraid to laugh at herself when she messes up, and she loves buying gifts for friends and family. Hunter loves college sports, firepits with friends, and his work. He will always drop what he is doing when we need him to be home. He is a great leader for our family and friend to people around him.
Our days are filled with routines we cherish. After breakfast together, Hunter heads to the office but comes home for lunch every day. Karissa and Charlotte start their mornings with a walk to the nearby park, then spend the rest of the morning grocery shopping, meeting friends for playdates, or attending Bible Study Fellowship twice a week.
Evenings are our favorite time as a family! When Hunter gets home, he plays with Charlotte while we prepare dinner, and we always eat together at the table without phones or TV. A couple of nights a week we spend time with friends, either hosting or visiting their homes. These rhythms help us stay close as a family and give us time to nurture our marriage, something we hope to continue as our family grows.
We know God holds the future of our family, and we trust whatever He has planned. We also know He will guide you and draw near to you as you wrestle with big decisions. Thank you for reading our letter, may you see Him as the God of all comfort in the days to come.
With Love,
Hunter and Karissa
