Dear Birth Mother,
We first want to say how much respect we have for you being here and, in this situation, considering adoption and what a selfless act of love that it is. We are thinking about you daily and praying for the safety and protection of you and your baby. We hope to share a glimpse of ourselves and our lives to you and that it will give you a sense of comfort in knowing you are making the best decision for your baby and what a life with us would look like.
We are Dylan and Chasity. We met in 2018 by mutual friends and were married a year later, September 28, 2019, surrounded by family and friends. We work hard, but also enjoy spending time together. If you ask Dylan, that means spending time on the boat fishing but if you ask Chasity, that means a weekend trip to visit a new city. We knew we could possibly have a hard time conceiving due to Chasity’s history of Leukemia (now 20-years cancer free and in good health, thank God) and talked about adoption before we even married. After multiple failed attempts at IVF, we decided that we could be blessed and be a blessing to others by choosing to follow the Lord’s plan for our lives and choose adoption. Chasity has seen many adoption stories during her career that were very touching as well.
Dylan is a chemical operator and works a rotating day and night shift work schedule. This means him working 3-4 days a week. In his time off, he enjoys hunting and fishing. Dylan has a large family, where his parents have been married 34 years. He has 2 younger brothers and a younger sister. They as well as the rest of our friends and family, have been faithful in praying alongside us and our journey to parenthood. Describing Dylan would be outgoing, calm, self-motivated, and a strong work ethic.
Chasity is a Neonatal ICU nurse, where she cares for sick or premature babies. We are thankful for Chasity’s experience with babies and children in her workplace and hope that will advance our knowledge through this process. Chasity works a 6am-6pm day shift schedule where she works 3 days a week. This works well with Dylan’s schedule as we can plan our schedules to have multiple days off a week together. Our schedule will require our future child to be in daycare a few days a week when we are working. Chasity also worked at a daycare when in high school and thinks that it is beneficial for children’s development and child interaction. When not working Chasity enjoys helping manage her mom’s online boutique, having lunch and shopping dates with friends and spending time with family. Chasity’s family is smaller which includes her mother, who would be helping with the child as well, and a younger brother who lives close by.
We live outside a small town in a country neighborhood. We live in a newly built brick home with a fenced backyard where our black lab, Ryder, stays. We know he can’t wait for a friend to share it with. We live about 10 minutes from our local church, Still Waters Cowboy Church, which we have attended from the beginning of our relationship. We love the nonjudgement, laid back environment they have and the amazing children’s program they offer as well. Our high school is known for sports which Dylan hopes to be able to teach his child to play, as he did. Chasity hopes they graduate in the top 10% and attend the local college here as she did.
We hope that this gives you an insight into our lives and we would love the opportunity to meet you in person and learn about you as well. Please know we have prayed many prayers that led us to this point we are at now and hope to continue in this journey with you.
With love,
Dylan & Chasity
