Michael and Gentry’s Letter

Dear Birth Mother,

What a courageous and loving decision you are making! Thank you for considering us to be a part of your adoption journey. We are in awe of your love and sacrifice.

We are Mike and Gentry Griffith. We have been married for almost 11 years and have 2 young children, Liv (6 years old) and Guy (4 years old). We both work from home which adds to our ability to enjoy quality time as a family. Mike sells healthcare software and Gentry works part-time as a Graphic Designer and Illustrator. Our home is one of love and laughter, intentional talks about life and who God is, music, dress-up, and wrestling matches. As a family, we love to hangout with friends, eat good food, and travel.

Richardson, Texas is where we call home. In our neighborhood, you can see people walking dogs or strollers, kids exploring, and families hanging out in their front yards. We live in a beautiful, two-story home with a playset and pool. Our yard is constantly being used for playdates, pool parties, and popping lots of bubbles.

We have a large extended family, many of which live close-by. One set of grandparents live in walking distance, Gentry’s brother and his family live 5 minute away, and a second set of grandparents that visit often live 75 minutes away in East Texas.

Our foundation and what guides our decisions is our trust and hope in God. The freedom we’ve received through Jesus is key, because even though we are broken and sin daily, we are loved and accepted as part of God’s family. We want to spend our lives loving God and loving others through whatever path God has for us. We hope one of those ways is through adoption.

From a young age, Gentry has hoped to adopt. Her mother and several family members are adopted and being around adoption throughout her life has given her a unique perspective. Mike began thinking about adoption after attending a church service where they focused on adoption and then more so through their infertility journey before getting pregnant with their first child, Liv. He didn’t know if or when it would happen, but through prayer and reflection, Gentry and Mike feel now is the time to begin this adoption journey for our own family.

We are so very hopeful for a child to join our family and are praying for the big decisions, pregnancy, labor, health, recovery, and future for you and your child.

Thank you for considering our family,
Mike, Gentry, Liv, and Guy
