Mario and Jill’s Letter

Dear Birth Mother,

It’s hard to find words to express how much we respect and honor you, even though we have not met you yet. We are praying for you as you make this brave and loving decision for your baby. Thank you for taking a moment to learn a bit more about us.

We are Mario and Jill. We met in January of 2017 through a Bible Study and our first date was on May 5th- Cinco de Mayo! It was on this very first date that we first talked about adoption and discovered we both hoped to grow our family through adoption one day. We got engaged on Cinco de Mayo a year later and were married in November of 2018.

Mario is an Engineering Project Manager and currently pursuing a Mechanical Engineering Degree. Jill describes Mario as a strong, manly man with the kindest heart she’s ever known. Mario loves to make friends everywhere he goes. He likes to country dance, eat tacos, travel and he serves on our church’s safety team. Mario speaks English and Spanish and comes from a large Mexican family. We plan to raise our child to be bi¬lingual. Mario’s parents live about 1 hour from us. They are loving, supportive and so excited to be grandparents one day.

Jill is a Certified Child Life Specialist with a degree in Child Development. Her love for helping children and families led to a 12 year career as a Child Life Specialist in the NICU at a large children’s hospital. Jill is now a Manager of Clinical Support Services there. Mario describes Jill as loving, caring and the embodiment of unconditional love. She is loyal, a good listener, patient and kind. Jill is 100% polish and very close with her family. Her parents live about 30 minutes from us. The love and support they have given us shows how much they will love and care for the baby God has for us.

We knew from our very first date that adoption would be a part of our story but we were also open to having biological children. We were never able to become pregnant and we were evaluated for infertility. Jill was diagnosed with a number of issues and we prayerfully chose to not pursue any fertility treatment or interventions. Jill struggled for years with physical pain from these issues and had a hysterectomy in 2022. We are grateful for good health and healing!

We live in a suburb of Houston and love our community! Our neighborhood has trees, walking trails, highly-ranked day cares and schools and more playgrounds than we can count! Our church is about 5 minutes away and we are very involved there.

Our lives are full of joy and lacking nothing but our greatest desire is to be parents. We promise we will do anything and everything to love your child, care for them and provide for their every need. Your child will know how much you love them- you are forever a part of their story. Every time we think of you we pray for you. We pray that you will know and experience the love and comfort of God and that you and your baby are safe and healthy.

With Sincere Gratitude,
Mario and Jill
