Nick and Elizabeth

Hi there!! We are Lizzie and Nick and have been together for over half our lives! Married for 8 years and together in total 15 years. We are high school sweet hearts and both played college lacrosse. Adoption has been close to both of our hearts since high school and our hearts both long to welcome a child and their mother / family into our family! We truly can’t imagine the place you are in right now and hold so much respect, empathy and grace for the path you choose. You are deeply loved and we alongside our praying community are praying for you. We love to spend time together as a family doing anything that involves being outside and playing games. We love to serve our community and spend a lot of time hosting friends and family at our house. We have two kids who are over the moon about having another sibling – both of them are requesting two more and we would love that 🙂 Lizzie works part time in mental health as a registered dietitian. Nick works full time in sales and has a lot of flexibility in his role. Lizzie has family in the Dallas/Fort Worth area and has spent a lot of time in Texas over the years. We completely trust Christian Homes, this ministry, this process, and most importantly the Lord. Sending you our love and grace <3

We are so honored you are taking a little time to get to know us! We have a wiener dog (Andi) who runs the minute you open the cheese drawer in the fridge and two cats (Rocky and Mochi). If Andi is not found eating cheese or scraps she can be found burrowing herself under a blanket staying warm. Rocky and Mochi are usually found sleeping or begging for pets. We both grew up in the suburbs of Indianapolis and are surrounded by great community and family. Fun fact – our city has the most roundabouts than any other city in the country! We have always felt called to adoption since we were in high school and it is personal to Nicks side of the family. We really long to form a life long connection with you and are envisioning more seats at our dining room table on holidays and birthdays. We long for you to feel loved, welcomed and cherished. Please know we are praying over you during this difficult time and are sending you some virtual air hugs 🙂

Nick and Elizabeth's Letter

Dear Birth Mother,

We are humbled you are taking the time to read about our family. We don’t understand what it is like to be walking in your circumstances right now, but we hold the utmost respect for you during this decision. You are an inspiration and we long to invite both you and your child into our family. May the Lord give you abundant peace and blessing to you during this season of life.

We hope this letter provides more understanding of what life in our family entails! Nick and I have been together since we were 15yo – we are high school sweethearts. We fell in love and have not looked back since (except for the few weeks we broke up in college). We have been through a lot of life together and since that young age have always felt called towards adoption. Adoption is a part of Nick’s family (his aunt, uncle, cousin) and Lizzie has always felt drawn towards building a family that includes adoption. Nick and I have a lot of fun together! We love going for hikes, eating yummy food, talking to each other, playing games, we just love being together! We are the type of couple who could work together and still love each other to pieces! We get along the best when we have tons of quality time with one another.

We live in a suburb of Indianapolis in a city called Carmel that has wonderful school districts, is very safe, and is rated one of the best places to live in the United States. We have two kids, our son Travis is 5 years old, and our daughter Ruby is 3 years old. We live close by to many wonderful parks, splash pads, indoor playgrounds, nature areas, concert venues and more. Our 4-bedroom two story house is situated in a wonderful neighborhood on a hill with mature trees and small patch of woods in the backyard with access to a small creek. I’m convinced we have the best set of neighbors and are walking and biking distance to our downtown area, which is filled with lots of restaurants, live music, biking paths, shopping and parks. We feel blessed to call Carmel, Indiana home.

Nick works as a territory sales manager for a glue company called Applied Adhesives and spends most of his time in big manufacturing plants making sure everything is operating smoothly and they have enough glue! Lizzie works in the mental health field as an eating disorder registered dietitian. Lizzie works part time (2-3 days per week) and enjoys staying home with our two kids on the days she is not working.

We love that we are driving distances to many locations in Texas as Lizzie’s aunt lives in the DFW area and we have grown accustomed to road trips to visit her family. Lizzie has also some history with Texas as she lived with her aunt for a period in her early 20s during summers in college. Our hearts are drawn towards a very open adoption – one where we invite you for Holidays, birthdays and fun trips in between! We long to create a lifelong relationship with you and for your child to know and love his birth mama. Most importantly, we trust the Lord in His timing of it all and we want to respect and honor your wishes too. We want to get to know you, meet you and support you! We want to learn more about your story and are looking forward to that day. Thank you for taking some time to learn more about us and we pray for a covering of peace and blessing as you navigate these unforeseen circumstances.

With all our love,
Nick and Lizzie
