Josh and Stephanie

Hello! We’re Josh and Stephanie Jones, and have been married for almost 6 years. We don’t currently have any children, but did foster two precious baby girls, and absolutely loved the time we had with each of them. We are so excited to bring a little one into our family permanently! We pray for you as you consider your path forward, and thank you for getting to know us.

We live under the beautiful trees of East Texas, and are blessed with a strong and caring group of friends from church, work, and all along our neighborhood street. Community is really important to us, and we know it takes a solid support group to raise a child in a Christ-centered home. God put adoption on both of our hearts individually even before we were dating, and we’re trusting him as we start and grow our family through adoption. We love interacting with kids through the kindergarten church class we teach, the preschool/elementary kids worship time we lead, and the church Bible study group of young families we co-lead. We enjoy hosting people in our home! Getting groups together is a passion of ours, whether it be to play board games, make homemade pizza, or break out the old Xbox to play some Dance-Dance Revolution. Josh works as a pediatric eye surgeon, and Stephanie volunteers in the community at a Christian Pregnancy Resource Center, as well as teaching piano lessons for two little boys. Steph has long been an avid indoor rock climber, so we climb together in Dallas occasionally. Josh is part of a faith-based men’s workout community, and also enjoys working in the yard or on DIY projects around our home. We really enjoy traveling together as a couple or with our extended families. Our parents and siblings all loved our foster-babies well for the months we cared for them, and our young nieces and nephews (infant to age 7) enjoyed playing with them. We look forward to getting to know you, and please know we are praying for you every step of the way!

Josh and Stephanie's Letter

Dear Birth Mother,

We’re thankful and honored that you are taking the time to read this letter. For months we’ve been praying for whichever mother may choose us, and we really admire your courage as you consider plans for the child that you’re carrying. Please know that we have the utmost respect for you, and trust that God will give you strength to make the best choice for your child, whether it be to parent or place in an adoptive home.

We’re Josh and Stephanie, and we’ve been married for 6 years. God put the idea of adoption on both of our hearts individually even before we were dating. Now we continue to trust God’s plan to start and grow our family through adoption. Our first experience caring for children in our home was fostering two infant girls (one at a time) over the course of one year. Stephanie enjoyed staying at home with each of them while Josh works as a pediatric eye surgeon. She looks forward to being a stay-at-home mom again with our future children. We have had the privilege of staying in contact with the biological grandmother of our most recent foster child. We are blessed to receive continued life updates about our former foster baby. We loved fostering, but are also excited to start our family through open adoption.

Both of our foster babies were well-loved by our families, neighbors, and friends from church. Josh’s parents live in town and Stephanie’s parents also live in Texas. All were a great help with the babies we had in our home. Our niece and four nephews loved playing with our foster babies as well. All of our family and friends are so excited to welcome another baby into our family.

Some of our favorite activities are world travel, indoor rock climbing, playing board games, making homemade pizza, and trail running. We are excited to be active with our kids and encourage them as they develop hobbies, skills and interests of their own. Most importantly, we prioritize our kids’ spiritual journey, pray for them and with them daily. We read the Bible with our foster babies every night and look forward to doing the same with our future kids. We loved having a baby in our home, and look forward to sharing life with another child!

We do not take lightly the decision you are making and all the emotions you must be feeling. We’d love to meet you and know your story. Please know that we continue to pray for you.

Sincerely,
Josh and Stephanie
