Hi – we are Joel & Julia! Our family was blessed to grow through adoption when we welcomed our daughter, Gray (age 6), into our family back in 2019. We are about to celebrate 14 years of marriage, and we love this life we’ve built together here in Amarillo, TX. Our home is filled with silly songs, dance parties, walks/bike rides to the park with our pups, trampoline games, art creations, imaginative play, LOTS of cooking, and even more love for each other and others! Our family and community are overjoyed at the idea of our family growing once again through the gift of adoption. We cannot wait to add a son or daughter to our family, and Gray is thrilled by the idea of becoming a big sister! We understand that this decision is incredibly challenging, and we are so grateful for the honor and privilege of walking this road with you. We are praying for you on this journey.

One of our favorite things to do is open up our home and our lives to others! We love bringing friends from our vibrant and loving church community into our home to hang out, share a meal and have fun, intentional time together. We also love hosting our family, both ones who live here in town with us and others who live afar but visit often. Our home is also a hub for high school students that we have the privilege of mentoring through the ministry that Joel works as director of. We love cooking huge meals for these students and gathering together to open the Bible and share with them how much God loves them and how wonderful a life with Christ is. Julia is a Kindergarten teacher at a small and loving private Christian school. We love that our daughter, Gray, gets to go to school with Mom every day. Julia loves knowing that Gray gets to be cared for and supported at such a loving school. When we get down time at home, we love spending time with Gray. Some of our most favorite times are painting, singing, and playing with her at home, and spending sunny days outside playing! We can’t wait to bring a son or daughter into our hearts and home!
