Dan and Lauren

Dan is a Youth Minister and Lauren is a Children’s Minister at their church. We do not have any children and are so excited to become parents. We love being together and get to do life day to day with the best friends anyone could have! Our families are absolutely thrilled to be adding another child into our family! We have nieces and nephews that range from born in October of 2025 to 21 years old and being an aunt and uncle is one of our very favorite things! We laugh a lot in our home and love hosting people in it. Dan has lots of hobbies including finishing up his training to get his pilot’s license this October as well as working in the yard, baking, playing guitar, making wood fire pizza, reading, and running. Lauren loves to read, be with friends and family, garden, and loves when she gets to be creative. Both of us love hanging with out two dogs, Daisy and Cowboy! We have a huge support system who are all praying and supporting this process.

Hi! We are Lauren and Dan Owen and we feel so honored that you would take a look into our lives as you consider adoption. We got married in May of 2023 and are so grateful for all the Lord has provided to us during our time of marriage. We have so much fun together and feel so lucky to share our lives with so many wonderful friends and family. We love being outside, watching baseball, gardening, cooking, and spending time with loved ones. We have always felt called to adoption and are thrilled to be growing our family through adoption. We are praying for the baby and their first family as much as we think about them, which is very often. We are excited and expectant of all the Lord will do in and through this process and know that He has a good plan for everyone involved.

Dan and Lauren’s Letter

Dear expectant mother,

We can only imagine how difficult this season can be for you, and how there are moments of suffering that you have experienced thus far that we cannot even imagine. We know that there have been many different hard decisions that have brought you to this moment right now, and we want you to know that we have already been praying for you and for your baby. We know that there are still many hard days ahead, with many more difficult and painful choices, but we want to thank you for getting to this moment. We know that you love this baby, which has brought you to Christian Homes, and whether you decide to move forward with adoption, or you ultimately decide to parent, we want to thank you for your courage and strength. As you continue in this unimaginable process, we pray that God would supply you with peace and courage as you make impossible decisions for yourself and your child. We want you to know that if you decide adoption, or if you decide to parent this child, you are loved and supported in whichever decision you make.

We are Lauren and Dan Owen. We have been married since May of 2023, and we feel very blessed to have an incredible life together. Lauren is a Children’s Minister and Dan is a Youth Minister, both at the church we currently attend. Even though we do not have any kids yet, God has been so faithful to our family already, and we’ve always dreamed of and planned to have a house full of children. Dan is the youngest of two sisters, both of whom have young kids. Dan’s oldest sister has a two year old girl and another daughter who was born in October! His other sister has a baby boy. Lauren has an older brother, who has a ten year old and a seven year old, and a sister, who has two daughters in college. We feel very blessed for our future children to have wonderful grandparents, who already love them dearly.

We both enjoy watching baseball, walking our two dogs, Cowboy and Daisy, spending time with friends, spending time with family, doing things outside, cooking, and most importantly spending some quality time with one another. We both feel blessed to have a home that is warm and inviting to all people, and we especially love to have friends and family within our home!

We are confident that God will provide the right child to grow our family, and we know that He will continue to lead you in this difficult season.
