We are Bobby and Nina Durning and we have been married for 10 years. We have a 7 year old small dog named Jerry who loves long walks, hugs, kisses, and treats. We live in a quiet, residential neighborhood in the suburbs of DFW. We both work at our church with Bobby serving as a pastor and Nina works as an administrative coordinator. We have been in Dallas since 2022, but we are originally from the east coast. Bobby grew up in New Jersey with his parents, 2 sisters, and brother. Nina grew up in Boston with her parents and 3, yes you read that correctly, 3 brothers! Both of us are very close to our families, which have grown over the past few years with the additions of spouses and children for our siblings! Over the past 6 years, we have journeyed through infertility and sought the Lord in how we should grow our family. While serving as foster to adopt parents in Boston, we decided to move to Dallas; so we continued as foster parents until making the move to Dallas. The Lord has now brought us to Christian Homes and provided the opportunity for us to grow our family through adoption. We know this is a courageous, while heavy decision for you to make as a birth mom. We are praying that God will lead you to the right family and that he will provide your every need. Originally New Englanders, we relocated to Dallas in 2022 and have built an incredible community and life here. At our church, Bobby works as a pastor and Nina as an administrative coordinator. Bobby and Nina’s Letter

Dear Expectant Mother,

We are Bobby and Nina Durning, and we are deeply honored that you are taking the time to read our letter and consider us as potential parents for your precious child. Your courage and selflessness in making this decision are profound, and we want you to know that we see and admire the incredible love you have for your baby.

We met in 2011 at a Christian college near Boston, where our shared faith in God became the cornerstone of our relationship. We married in 2015, envisioning a life filled with love, faith, and children. In 2020, after learning we couldn’t conceive biologically, we faced grief but were sustained by God’s faithfulness (2 Timothy 2:11-13). This led us to foster-to-adopt in 2021, welcoming children into our home and growing in love through each moment. When we moved to Dallas, Texas, the Lord surrounded us with a supportive community that has been instrumental in guiding us through our adoption journey. Adoption, to us, is a beautiful gift, allowing us to share Christ’s love while building our family.

Bobby serves as the Director of Membership at our church, fostering community and spiritual growth, while Nina coordinates a Bible Reading/Podcast program, helping others engage with Scripture. We plan for our baby to attend daycare three to four days a week, with Nina caring for them at home one to two days. We desire to raise our children to know Jesus as their Savior, grow in confidence through personal responsibility, and develop a love for learning, reading, and those around them.

During the week, we enjoy nature, park walks with our dog, Jerry, board games with friends, and family dinners filled with laughter and connection. In the evenings, Bobby practices bagpipes while Nina cooks and reads, and we always eat dinner as a family at the dining room table. Some of our most cherished memories have happened around the table. Together, we find enjoyment in watching movies together, traveling to new places, and participating in new experiences.
