Dear Birth Mother,
We want you to know first that we have been thinking of you throughout this process. We know that we can’t truly understand what you are experiencing, but we are honored that you would take the time to learn about us and consider us as a family for your child. Our deepest hope is that whoever you choose to raise your baby is able to provide you with the support and love that you deserve. Please know that we will be praying for you through all of the decisions and days ahead.
We are Parker and Jaymie, and we are best friends who love to find fun and joy in everyday life. Parker is thoughtful, hardworking, and always looking out for others. Jaymie is organized, creative, and playful. Our marriage is grounded in our faith in Jesus, and we try to build our life around loving God and caring well for the people He has placed in our lives.
One thing that may make us a little different is that we always planned to adopt. Even early in our dating relationship, we talked about someday growing our family through adoption. From then on, we wanted to build a marriage and a life that would be ready to welcome a child this way. Parker also has a sister who was adopted, so adoption has been part of his family story. We would be honored to raise a child who always knows their whole story and that you and their adoption story are spoken about with love, honesty, and respect.
Our life is deeply rooted in our community of family and friends. Our parents live nearby, and our future child will grow up surrounded by grandparents, cousins, aunts, uncles, church family, and friends. Our lifelong best friends are also our next-door neighbors, so we are always doing life with them and their kids, who may as well be our nephews and niece. We have already had so much fun loving and helping care for the children in our lives, and we can’t wait to be parents. Jaymie’s CrossFit gym has become another place that feels like family, and so many people there have been cheering us on throughout our adoption. Parker is still very connected to the school he graduated from, where he now caters lunch for the students and staff. Our home also includes Lucy, our dog, and Mia, our cat, who are very much part of our family.
Jaymie works from home as a technical writer with flexible hours, and Parker owns and operates a catering business. Our jobs give us a lot of flexibility to be home with and care for our child, and our family and friends are willing and eager to help when needed.
If you choose us to parent your child, we want you to know that your child will grow up knowing how deeply loved they are. We will teach them about Jesus, surround them with family, encourage them to be who God created them to be, laugh with them often, and give them a home where they always feel safe asking questions about their story. Throughout this process, God has continually reminded us of His faithfulness and provision. We are praying that you feel His presence, love, and guidance in every decision ahead.
Thank you for taking the time to get to know us and for considering us as you make such an important decision.
With love,
Parker & Jaymie
