Misty Schoephoerster

Family Services Caseworker | West Texas Office

Misty joined Christian Homes and Family Services in the fall of 2023. After high school, Misty joined the US Army as an active duty administrative assistant. Misty served in Operation Iraqi Freedom as a part-time chaplain assistant and part-time mail clerk from 2009-10 where she met her husband of now 13 years. Misty was honorably discharged from the Army as an E4 with several awards during her time served. In 2012, after completing her five-year enlistment, she enrolled at Abilene Christian University. In 2016, Misty graduated with a bachelor’s in family studies and a minor in communication. Misty graduated as a valedictorian that year and believes that effort is always more valuable than outright smarts. Misty continued her education and graduated the following year with a Master’s in Social Work. Misty enjoys reading, laughing and spending time with friends.

Prior to employment at Christian Homes & Family Services, Misty worked five years at a local hospital. However, Misty has a heart to serve those looking to adopt and walk alongside mothers experiencing loss. She believes that God called her to employment at Christian Homes.
