Stan Lambert

Stan Lambert joined the Christian Homes & Family Services staff as a Development Officer in May of 2026 towards the end of his five terms in the Texas House of Representatives. He represents Taylor, Nolan, Jones and Callahan Counties. At the beginning of the 87th Legislative Session, Representative Lambert was appointed Chair of the Pensions, Investments and Financial Services Committee. He also serves as a member of the House Committee on Higher Education. Representative Lambert has previously served on the Energy Resources Committee, the Insurance Committe, the Business and Industries Committee, the Defense and Veterans Affairs Committee and completed a term ont he Texas Sunset Advisory Commission in 2021.

Lambert was born and raised in Abilene. He earned his bachelor’s degree in business from Abilene Christian University in 1975 and later his graduate certificate in banking from the Southwestern Graduate School of Banking. Upon completion, Lamber began a long career in community banking.

In 1995, he returned home and became the Athletics Director at ACU. Lamber was involved in banking for mor than 35 years and currently serves ont he Board of Directors for First Bank Texas.

Lambert has also served as the Mayor of Ennis, Texas and later as a member of the Abilene Independent School District Board of Trustees. His business and state legislature experience will be valuable to Christian Homes.

Lambert and his wife of 47 years, Debbie (a retired public school teacher and principal), are members of the University Church of Christ in Abilene. They have two sons, Wes and Jay, a daughter-in-law, Andrea (Jay), with granddaughters, Elizabeth Grace and Savannah Jane, and grandson, Jackson.
