Sharla is no stranger to Christian Homes & Family Services as she interned for the ministry while attending Abilene Christian University. After graduating with her bachelor of Science in Social Work, Sharla worked in the medical social work field and also worked with Early Childhood Intervention for 7 years. She received her Masters of Science in Social Work from the University of Texas and was drawn back to the ministry when the opportunity was presented.

Sharla loves that Christian Homes provides the freedom of sharing Christ with birth mothers, as well as knowing that God has the perfect parents for every child that is served.  Sharla and her husband, Byron who married in 1997, have two children, Blake and Anna Jo.
