Randy and Sara’s Letter

Dear Birth Mother,

While we don’t know you, we do know that you are making an impossible decision out of love. For that, we admire and respect you greatly. Thank you for choosing life, not only for your child but for generations to come. We are praying for you as you walk through this season and want you to know that you are loved.

We are Randy and Sara. We met during college and were married, two years after our first date, in 2011. Best friends, we enjoy traveling, trying new foods, the outdoors, and time with family and friends. We both always knew we would adopt, the question was merely when. After two miscarriages and testing, we’ve learned that biological children may not be in our future. However, we serve a good Father who has a plan, even in our pain. We are thrilled to be on this path to expand our family and pray daily for our future child.

Randy is the Area Director for Young Life in our town and has been on staff for ten years. Being a part of this mission has been an enormous blessing in our lives. We spend lots of time with our High School friends and are very connected with our community. Sara is a volunteer with Young Life and joins Randy for weekly activities, meetings, and seasonal camp trips. Sara works part-time as an Office Manager for a local property rental business. We both have lots of flexibility with our work, which will allow us, mostly Sara, to stay home with a child. Family is also highly valued by both of our employers, allowing us to be very present at home.

Our faith in Jesus and our marriage are the two biggest priorities (in that order) in our lives. We hope to live by example to those around us, especially our children, and to prioritize these relationships so that we are the best parents possible. We know we are not promised children, but we do have a great desire to be parents with an abundance of love to share. Not only will our child have us loving them but also a healthy support system between our friends, family, and community.

Thank you for taking the time to read our letter. Know we have been and will continue to pray for you and that you are loved.

Blessings,
Randy & Sara
