Mason and Kaitlin’s Letter

Dear Birth Mother,

First and foremost we want you to know that you are already so loved, highly favored, and worthy. You have chosen life for your child and for that we are grateful. We are honored that you are reading our letter and considering us to welcome your child into our hearts and our home. We are praying for you and your baby constantly.

While we don’t know exactly who you are just yet, we hope you’ll take a moment to get to know us. We are Mason and Kaitlin. We live together in Central Texas with our very cute dog. Mason is a Preaching Minister and Kaitlin is a Social Worker in a hospital. In our free time we enjoy watching movies, trying new restaurants, travelling, visiting our families, and adventuring together. Mason is the more introverted of the two. He likes to read, listen to records, play keyboard, grill, and have intentional conversations. Kaitlin is more extroverted and doesn’t like to sit still for very long. Kaitlin enjoys baking, shopping for a good bargain, and spending time with Mason.

We met in college and Kaitlin immediately knew that we were going to get married. Mason took a little longer to agree, but he got there! Once we both knew, we got engaged and married within a short amount of time. For us it was true that when you know, you know. We have now been married for 5 years and are experiencing some of the sweetest times of our marriage as we have settled into careers and who we are.

We are so lucky to have supportive and loving families that have been by our sides and with us each step of the way. Mason’s side of the family is large and they are not only our family, but our friends. Mason’s siblings are truly some of our favorite people and their kids have our hearts. Kaitlin’s family is smaller and has been through a lot, but that makes them even stronger. Kaitlin’s family does not yet have any grandchildren or great grandchildren on their side, so they are very excited for this journey!

We have always wanted children and for adoption to be a part of our story, but we didn’t know exactly when or what that would look like. After a few years of trying to have a baby biologically we realized that God was calling us to open the door to adoption. We prayed every night during those years for a baby, and now we are 100% confident that God is answering that prayer through adoption. Now is the time, not because we haven’t been able to have a baby biologically, but because God has led us here.

We hope you will prayerfully consider us as a home and family for your baby. We will continue to pray for you and your baby as you continue down your journey.

In His Love,
Mason and Kaitlin
