Marco and Katrina’s Letter

Dear Birth Mother,

We are so honored and grateful you are taking the time to get to know us and our family. We know this decision was not made lightly and it is such a blessing to be apart, even if just a small part, of this process with you. We continue to pray for you through these steps and hope God guides you through every aspect of your life, but especially through this very tough and selfless decision you are making for your child.

We are Marco and Katrina. We met in 2019 through some mutual friends off Facebook and have been together ever since. We got married in 2022 and continue to grow not only in our relationship with each other, but also with our relationship in Christ. Ever since getting married, we have wanted to grow our family, but have not been able to conceive naturally. We have always wanted to expand our family through adoption, and it looks like that was God’s plan all along. We want this child to know that they are loved not only by us, but you as well.

Marco works in the construction field as an estimator and works Monday through Friday for Katrina’s parents company. He has a lot of flexibility in his work and has the option to work from home if needed. Katrina is a case worker for a state entity and also has a relatively flexible job and options to work from home whenever is needed. Our families are a huge part of our lives and are such a huge support to us as well. We are very close to both sides of our families and see each other as often as possible. Our family includes several cousins, aunts, uncles, Opa, Mimi, Gigi (Katrina’s grandmother), Pop Pop and Yeya as well as Marco’s grandparents, Grandma, Abuelo and Abuela. Our family is so excited to grow and will love this child deeply. Katrina’s mother (Mimi) currently keeps our nephew during the week and can not wait to love on and take care of another grandchild in the future.

We live in a very quiet and safe neighborhood- just a few blocks away from Katrina’s parents and one of her sisters. We have excellent neighbors who are like extended family to us. We do not live very far from the schools or playground areas either. There are plenty of things to do around the area and plenty of new places to explore- so we are never bored. Our dogs, Duke and Yoda, are not ones for walks (they’re pretty extra) but they are so sweet and loving and enjoy playing with each other! In our free time, we enjoy watching sports or movies, traveling to new places, and spending time with family and friends.

As we continue through this journey, we continue to pray for an adoption that is led by God in every aspect and pray that He continues to guide you through these difficult decisions. We cannot wait to meet you and walk along-side with you and be there for you, as you make these decisions for yourself and your baby. While we hope that, should we be blessed to be your child’s parents, we want you to be comfortable with that decision and know that you made the best decision for your child when considering us as their adoptive parents. We look forward to meeting with you and hearing about your hopes, dreams and goals for this baby.
