Luke and Julianne’s Letter

We are overwhelmed with gratitude that you would consider us to adopt your child. We can’t imagine how difficult the choice must be to place your baby for adoption, but we admire your bravery in doing so. Although we do not know you, we spend time each day praying for you-praying for your health, your happiness, and for God to bless your life abundantly. Should you choose us to adopt your child, we would love nothing more than for you to maintain a relationship with your child, but we will honor and support whatever level of involvement feels right to you. We promise to love your baby fully and unconditionally, just as Jesus loves us.

Adoption has been on our hearts for years. We always knew we would adopt one day, but when we were diagnosed with unexplained infertility, we realized it wasn’t just a desire-it was a calling. We can’t imagine starting our family in any other way.

We are Luke and Julianne. We’ve been married for seven years and have been together for ten years after meeting at Harding University. As cliche as it may sound, we are each other’s best friend. We love spending time outdoors, making each other laugh, going on road trips, and playing with our dog Daisy (a seven-year-old cockapoo). Music is a huge part of our lives-Luke plays multiple instruments, and Julianne sings and plays guitar. We love the Lord, and our faith is central to our daily lives. We attend church weekly, play in the worship band, help with children’s and youth ministries, and gather every Thursday with our small group. Our church community is tight-knit and has been incredibly supportive of our adoption journey.

Luke works remotely as a software engineer for a music company. His flexible schedule allows for a great work-life balance. In his free time, he enjoys baking pastries, playing pickleball with friends, tending our vegetable garden, and playing bass. Some words that describe Luke are adventurous, fun-loving, driven, and optimistic. Julianne currently works part-time for our church running social media and assisting in children ‘s ministry. Once we adopt, she plans to step away from work to focus fully on caring for the baby. Julianne is thoughtful, nurturing, creative, and organized. She enjoys quilting, planning get-togethers with friends, and watching almost any sport-especially basketball, football, and baseball.

Spending time with our loved ones is deeply important to us. We are blessed with supportive parents, siblings, grandparents, aunts, uncles, nephews, and cousins who we see regularly. Between our two families, we have many joyful holiday traditions and so many people who are thrilled to welcome a baby through adoption. Our support system doesn’t stop with us- they’re also including you in their prayers.
