Josh and Staci’s Letter

Dear Birthmother,

There are so many things we want to say, but none seem adequate in expressing what is on our hearts. Your courage amazes us. We have tremendous respect and admiration for you. We don’t know your story yet, but look forward to learning about you. Since beginning our adoption journey, we have prayed that the Lord would guide and comfort you.

We both love children and have always wanted to be parents. Early in our marriage, we often spoke about the possibility of adoption. After struggling with infertility for several years, we believe that God has led us to grow our family through the blessing of adoption. The child that will be welcomed into our family will be surrounded by people who love them unconditionally. Our family, friends, and church have been extremely supportive of our decision to adopt.

If you were to walk in our home, you would be greeted by our two dogs, Otto and Cooper, and more than likely with the smell of something cooking in our crockpot (probably tortilla soup or chicken tacos; our favorites!). Some days our home is messy and noisy and other days clean and calm, but we hope above all, that you would feel the presence of unconditional love as you stepped through our door. With the Lord as the focus of our home, we will raise our children to love and follow Christ.

On a day-to-day basis, Josh works in the engineering department at a local hospital and he enjoys western movies, Texas barbecue, worship music, cycling, and Blue Bell ice cream. Staci works in commercial insurance in our hometown. She loves Mexican food, Christmas movies, decorating, grape snow cones, and finding new recipes to try. In the evenings and on weekends, we enjoy spending quality time together as a family. Some of our favorite things include home improvement shows, challenging each other to a board game, grilling out, and going to the movies.

Thank you for your bravery and taking the time to get to know about us. We wish you the best and will be praying that God would hold you close and give you peace as you continue on your journey.

With Love,
Josh and Staci
