Jeremy and Kaitlyn’s Letter

Dear Birth Mother,

First of all, we are honored that you are reading this, and to be even a small part of your story. Thank you for choosing life and choosing adoption! We can only imagine what it is like to be in your shoes, but we just want you to know how many people are praying for you and for your baby. Every person who has donated or prayed for us has also prayed for you and let me tell you, the radical generosity we have seen throughout this journey here has been only something God could provide.

We want to tell you a little secret to maybe help you feel more comfortable with your decision. Every single couple we have met who are also adopting through Christian Homes has been phenomenal. We truly believe whoever you and God decide, will be a great family for your child and hopefully, eventually yourself.

Jeremy is a business owner and has loved working for himself for the last 3 years. He is a passionate, competitive, kind, and generous man. He loves working on cars and drag racing with his ’95 Mustang Cobra with an LS swap. When he’s not dating Kaitlyn, he’s working on his car or helping someone with their car, or he is doing some sort of ministry. Men’s Ministry is a big passion of his and so is Marriage Ministry (with Kaitlyn) as he believes change starts in the home. You’ll often find him on any sports court being competitive and ministry all at the same time. He is one of our Lifegroup leaders and is a natural born leader.

Kaitlyn is a little quieter. She currently works at a t-shirt printing company but plans to stay home once a baby comes along. She enjoys baking anything and everything and loves to play piano and sing. She is stepping out more with Women’s Ministry, reaching out to those who also have a bitter taste towards Women’s Ministry. She loves doing Marriage Ministry because she gets to do it with Jeremy (the true love of her life). Kaitlyn is the funny one of the marriage with a great sense of humor and always bringing her lightheartedness to tough situations. You can usually find her cracking a joke, making a smart comment, or pulling a prank.

We live in Abilene Texas (the greatest state) in a 3-bedroom home that we bought in the middle of the pandemic, 2020. We also got married in our backyard in 2020. That might have been the year the world shut down, but for us it was a pretty spectacular one. We love to host game nights and dinners at our house, making it a refuge for whoever enters. We are an animal loving family, mostly at the fault of Kaitlyn. She brought home one too many cats. Right now, we have a Great Pyrenees named Theo, an Australian Shepard Mix named Turbo, a Grey Tabby cat named Oliver, and a Black cat named Jack. Our house is almost never quiet, except when everyone is asleep. We love every second of it and our nursery is even cat and dog themed!

Adoption wasn’t just something that we chose, but something we were specifically CALLED to. On the same night, Jeremy and Kaitlyn, hundreds of miles away from each other, heard the same thing from God telling us to adopt. Every step of the way, we have seen the hand of God guide us through everything from finances to logistics to be able to be here and even type this letter. Every time we have questioned whether this was what we were supposed to do, He showed up in might and power! Right now, we are praying that the spirit of the living God will guide your hand in making this difficult decision, whether that is us or not! He loves you so much and has such great plans for your life!

With all our love, prayers, and best wishes,
Jeremy and Kaitlyn Bailey
