James and McKenzie’s Letter

Dear Birthmother,

We hope to express our profound admiration of you in this short letter. What a miraculous thing it is to be considered for the adoption of your baby, a most precious gift. We are blown away by the brave love you have for your baby in considering adoption and we hope and pray you would feel cherished and valued throughout this process.

We are James and McKenzie, and we couldn’t be more thrilled to be considered to adopt your baby into our family. We cherish family more than anything in the world, and we hope, by God’s grace, that He would weave our stories together through this adoption. James and I are high school sweethearts, we married in 2012, and these years have been our favorite years of our lives so far! We are best friends and have so much fun together. We have always wanted to adopt and knew the Lord had that as part of our story, which led to us praying for our baby and baby’s birthmother for years and years. You have been on our minds and hearts!

By God’s mercy we trust Him and love Him with everything we have. Our love of the Lord informs all areas of our lives – our marriage, our parenting, our friendships, and our work. We see all good things as a gift from Him, especially children! He has given us two amazing children and has also given us a dream of a big family. George was born in 2014 and Norah Faye was born in 2016. Our schedules revolve around family life and we can’t get enough of it, it is our greatest joy! Our kids cannot wait for a new brother or sister! They are both loving, tender, joyful and so much fun. James works for a software company, and his work schedule is Monday-Friday. He loves his job, is a hard worker, and makes it a priority to have plenty of family time every morning, evening, and weekend. McKenzie is so grateful to get to be a stay-at-home mama and thinks it’s the most amazing job in the world. We live close to both of our extended families and see everyone often for meals and celebrations. We love our huge family!

We love our three-bedroom home in a great neighborhood. Besides having a swing set and fun yard to play in, our neighbors are always outside playing and gathering, making us love it even more. The community we live in is safe, beautiful, welcoming, and we are grateful! Our city has many parks, fun restaurants, museums, and walking trails we love. We do spend a considerable amount of time in the country as well, which is our favorite place to be outside our home! Our extended family has a ranch that McKenzie grew up going to, and it holds many cherished memories. Out there our kids love to ride horses, “drive” the tractor, fish, dig, explore, use their imagination, and nature walks are a family favorite! We love the retreat it is from the city and the family bonding it fosters.

We cannot wait to add to our family through adoption, with a child of any gender or race. Our church and community are filled with multi-racial families and those who have been adopted. We have prayed that this adoption would glorify God, and bring abundant peace and happiness to YOUR heart through your decision to entrust your child to us. We trust the Lord that this adoption process will bless all those it touches – your family, our family, and of course, your precious child! We are in awe of your sacrifice for your child, and it is a priority of ours to raise your child with an appreciation of it. We know we can offer your child a lifelong environment of nurturing, joy, and unconditional love. Thank you for reading our letter, and if you would consider us for the adoption of your child, we would be so excited to meet you!
