Greg and Krisi’s Letter

Dear Birth Mother,

We are so thankful that you are choosing to accept God’s gift of life! God is allowing you and your child to be an answer to many prayers for us. We are so encouraged by the bravery and love you are demonstrating!

We are Greg and Krisi — our story together began in the Spring of 2013. We were married in September of 2015. Our desire has always been to build our family through whatever means God has for us. And, even if we conceived naturally, we both wanted adoption to be part of our family story as we both have adoption in our backgrounds. Krisi’s birth mother also chose the gift of life and blessed a waiting family with that life. Krisi was adopted as a newborn and her (nonbiological brother) was adopted 3 ½ years later. Krisi’s birth Aunt is also a Birth Mother and Greg’s parents were both adopted. As the Lord’s timing would have it (currently), this will be our first child and we could not be happier or more excited about beginning this journey with you.

Greg works in residential real estate and construction and currently serves in a leadership role with a custom home-building company. He is a born-and-bred Texan, who grew up in Dallas. He served eight years in the Army, and later attended Southern Methodist University in Dallas, staying close to his home roots. Krisi is from a small-town in Oklahoma, where she attended a small university and enjoys returning to visit family and friends. She has worked in healthcare since 2001 and currently serves in a management role for a leading healthcare system in the Dallas area. We consider our weekly schedules to be appropriately balanced for the priorities in our lives: being active members in our church body, spending time with our married community group and continuing to date and pursue each other.

We live in a safe, family-friendly neighborhood. Greg enjoys being active outdoors, running, watching Formula One racing and reading. Krisi enjoys spending time with family and friends, cooking new dishes at home and photography; she is also a Harry Potter fan. Together we enjoy traveling, going on weekend Texas country drives, hosting friends and guests at our home and watching classic movies. We share a mutual enjoyment in trying new restaurants, making weekend breakfasts, being in nature, Thai food and ice cream!

Thank you so much for taking the time to read our letter. We are praying for you and your child. We truly hope to meet you and look forward to learning more about you.
