Garrett and Sarah’s Letter

Dear Birth Mother,

You are strong, loved, and selfless. We pray for wisdom and strength in the days ahead as you make decisions about your future, but most of all we pray for peace. Have peace knowing that you are not in this alone and that God is already working on your behalf! We respect you and are so proud of you. We know that this decision does not come easy. We want to share a small glimpse of what our lives look like and to give you a sense of comfort knowing you have made the right decision for your child.

We are Garrett and Sarah! We have been married for 2 years. We met in September of 2022. Little did we know how much we would have in common and how fast we would fall in love! Fast forward to December 17, 2022, Garrett planned a surprise engagement with all our close friends and loved ones. It was truly a magical moment. We were married the following July of 2023 and have never looked back! We are the best of friends and have so much fun together. We live in a small west Texas town and enjoy trying new recipes as well as long weekend trips. We attend the sweetest church with lots of young families and have several close friends that live nearby.

Garrett is a high school girls basketball coach, who also coaches cross country and track. Being from a small-town high school, he is involved in just about every sport the school has to offer. He teaches Special Education and enjoys seeing students not only succeed academically but also grow as individuals. In his free time, he enjoys playing golf, spending time with family and friends, and mastering the grill. He loves to cook and is always trying out new recipes. Garrett is also involved with our church as he helps with the youth, cooks for local events, and helps with the weekly services. Garrett is patient, kind, selfless, loving, encouraging, nurturing, funny, and definitely the life of the party!

Sarah is a registered nurse at a local rural health clinic, serving as the Chronic Care Management nurse. She assists the geriatric population in keeping them organized with their medications and appointments, as well as any other health concerns they may have. She works a very flexible schedule with no “on call” or weekends allowing her to be as present and involved with family as she can be! When she is not at the clinic, you can find her at a ball game, cleaning or decorating her home, or possibly spending time with her niece and nephew. All she has ever wanted to do is be a wife and mom. Sarah is loving, caring, outgoing, nurturing, selfless, and has never met a stranger!

We knew from the very beginning that adoption would be a part of our story as Sarah is unable to carry a child. We prayed that God would allow us to become parents HIS way and in HIS time. We are trusting God to work out the details and pray that you are a part of this plan. From the very beginning of time God chose us…he adopted us as His sons and daughters, making adoption the most beautiful gift!

We have an extended family that cannot wait to welcome a little one. They are very supportive and have a lot to do with who we have become today. Both of our families live within 45 minutes of our house, making it easy for us to see each other often. With several siblings married and now having children, our new bundle will be in great company with cousins close in age to learn and grow with. We are very close to our families and enjoy spending time making memories, especially around the holidays.

We were made to worship Him, trusting that He will take care of us and guide our every step. We will always be proud of you and the selfless sacrifice you are making. We cannot wait to meet our miracle! What an indescribable gift you would be giving allowing us to become parents. May God continue to comfort you and wrap His arms around you in the days to come. We pray for you every day and cannot wait to meet you!

With Love, Garrett and Sarah
