Dear Birth Mother,
We thank you for taking the time to learn about who we are. We know you probably have a lot of questions and may be facing a very difficult time right now. Please know that no matter what your circumstances may be, God loves you and has great plans for your life and for your child. We support and commend you for considering adoption as a plan for your baby and are grateful that the good Lord led you to the caring and loving staff at Christian Homes and Family Services. We feel certain that you are in good hands! Please know you are not alone and that we are praying for you on this journey.
We are Monica and Brian. We were married in the spring of 2016 and because we met later in life, we are not able to have any biological children. Brian is a Civil Designer for an engineering company and Monica works as a Volunteer Coordinator for a non-profit organization helping families with memory loss and other challenges of aging. Monica’s job is pretty flexible; however, she would ideally like to work more from home or work part-time once a child is placed in our home. We have 4 fur babies, which are cats named Monkey, Coco, Rory & Kitten who are like children to us and bring us much joy and love. They are part of our family, but we have a desire to give a child a loving, stable, Christian home where we can explore life together and give them the opportunities we are lovingly given.
We have a wonderful church home with a strong emphasis on family, church and community. We are also blessed to be involved with a ministry at church for adoptive families to learn and grow together. Already, we have been learning so much through the multiple opportunities this ministry has offered us, even prior to our adoption process. Our church offers a wide variety of activities and programs for children of all ages to be involved from Bible school, camps, beach trips, mission trips and family outings. And we live in a neighborhood that is full of fun things to do such as parks, swimming pool, splash pad, walking trails and a new dog park. We have several friends with children of a variety of ages. Much of our time is spent with our families and friends who all live nearby.
We enjoy a variety of activities like camping, hiking, swimming and going to the beach or the river. We also enjoy attending plays and performances such as the ballet, musicals and the rodeo, where we volunteer and help youth in our community. We enjoy travelling and usually, around our anniversary, try to visit new places. As a couple we really make a great team, supporting one another and serving together within our church and in the community. We look forward to bringing a child into our family as a part of our team!
Please know we care about you deeply and are praying for you and your child. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us.
