Brian and Lisa’s Letter

Dear Expectant Mother,

Thank you for taking time to consider us as adoptive parents. I can’t imagine what you must be going through right now and how hard this decision must be. Please know that no matter what, God will lead you in the right direction whether you choose to place your child with us, another family, or He leads you to raise your child. We believe what it says in Proverbs 3:5-6 to “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways, acknowledge Him and He will direct your paths.”

Brian and I have been married for 6 years and have been trying to have children for the past 5 years. Due to infertility, we are unable to have children of our own, which was very difficult at first. We felt that God was leading us to adoption and after much prayer, we now know that is the path He has for us. We are very excited to be parents and have an excited family who can’t wait to welcome a new baby into our home!

We are strong Christians who attend church weekly including Wednesday nights for our community wide meal. We enjoy the fellowship with our church family who are very supportive in all aspects of life.

Brian works for a great oilfield company very close to our home and has a unique work schedule that allows him to be home quite often. When he is home, he enjoys working on the ranch and taking care of cows, horses, and the wheat farm. You can find him fixing fence, checking water troughs, putting out feed, working in the garden, or hunting and fishing.

Lisa is a high school teacher and has been teaching for the past 10 years. She teaches marketing and is a DECA advisor to some pretty amazing students. Her students are like family and they are very excited to welcome a new “brother or sister” to the extended family! When Lisa isn’t teaching, she is trying new recipes from Pioneer Woman or Pinterest, walking/jogging on the ranch with the dogs, planting flowers, crocheting, and working in the garden.

We live on a beautiful ranch in West Texas that has been in the family for over 110 years with several small towns and great schools close to our home. We are far enough from town to have our privacy and freedom to be outdoors, but close enough in case of emergencies and have conveniences of shopping, entertainment, and youth activities. Our house is where Brian’s grandmother and father grew up so there is a lot of history under our roof. We have a large yard, garden, and orchard that is home to wildlife including deer, quail, and some very friendly turkeys who think the front yard is their playground.

We are very active with our nieces and nephews and their school activities. We like to go and watch them at stock shows or various sporting events. We enjoy going to the lake to water ski or take in a weekend trip to go snow skiing. We raise our own beef and have chickens for fresh eggs.

Our dogs are part of our family and are a barrel full of fun! Tag is our 12 year old Australian Shepherd who gives the best hugs and smiles all the time. Dally is our 1 year old Australian Shepherd/Blue Heeler mix who is a budding soccer star!

Again, we want to thank you for considering us as parents for your child. We have a lot of love to give and share with a new baby in our home. We have a longing to raise a child in Christ and want to teach him or her to have a strong work ethic. We also want to help them develop a kind heart and not be judgmental, but be compassionate towards others. If chosen, we will love your child with all of our heart. Whether you choose us or another family, we will pray for you and your child and trust that God has you and your baby in His loving arms, guiding you every step of the way.

God bless,
Brian & Lisa
