Bradin and Emma’s Letter

Dear Birth Mom,

We pray blessings, peace, love, and wisdom for you in this time of decision-making. We hope the best for you, not only because you carry a precious life, but because you too are a child of God.

You are loved by our faithful God, and you are loved by the growing baby you hold. You will forever be the beginning of this baby’s story. Whether or not you decide to continue to have a role in that child’s life, you are a blessing to them and to the adoptive family you choose.

We are Emma and Bradin McDonald, and we’ve wanted to adopt ever since the early stages of our relationship. After a 2 year journey of infertility, we saw that adoption may come into play sooner than we thought. Through prayer and consideration, we were excited to begin the adoption process. We hope to have several children, both biologically and through adoption.

We are high school sweethearts who got married in 2020. We live in Beebe, Arkansas, where we just bought a neighborhood house. We don’t have any children yet, but we do have a free-roam rabbit named Daisy. She is sweet, sassy, and loves to play with kids! We’re neighbors with our closest friends, who we love to spend game nights with. You can also find us reading books and watching movies together. Emma enjoys crafts and Bradin loves to cook.

We are involved members of Beebe Church of Christ, where Emma teaches childrens’ Bible classes. Our small group is praying with us through this process and excited to soon welcome a little one to the group!

We are so ready for a baby to shake up our routine and be part of our lives. Through open adoption, we hope you will choose to be part of our lives as well. This baby will have a community of so much love surrounding them!

We will not pretend to understand the path you are walking right now, but we do know the good God who is our refuge and our strength. He does not take away your pain, but is with you through it. We, too, want to be with you through this journey. The baby growing with you is a beautiful blessing and gift, but the decision of adoption is heavy. We recognize this simultaneous joy and sorrow associated with the process of adoption. We want you to know that “God has not given us a spirit of fear, but one of power, love, and sound judgment. So don’t be ashamed of the testimony about our Lord.” 2 Timothy 1:7-8.

With Love,
Bradin and Emma McDonald
