Brack and Kate’s Letter

Dear Birth Mother,

We want to start by saying thank you for being so brave, for making a choice that is difficult but trusting that the Lord has your child in His mighty hands. We are praying for you and for the precious life that is growing inside of you.

We are Kate & Brack. Born native Texans from Wichita Falls and Hereford, we moved to Dallas 16 years ago for Brack’s career and have been here ever since. This big city, that we now call home, somehow feels like a small community because of our dear friends, the sweet schools our kids go to and the amazing church that we attend. We have three children: Gavin, Janie and Lillian, who are kind, loving and fun and who cannot wait to welcome a new sibling into our home. We have known for many years that we would one day adopt a precious child and are so grateful that the time is now!

Brack is a relaxed, funny, loving dad who cares for and leads our family so well. Because of his height and humor, he is not easily forgotten, and his gentle spirit is loved by so many. Brack is consistent, loyal, kind and the rock of our family. He is an awesome dad who balances work and fatherhood well, never missing a sporting event or dance recital and who is always available for big hugs, story-telling, bike riding and front yard football. He works as a commercial real estate attorney, but his favorite job is being a proud dad.

Kate is a faithful, fun-loving, energetic mom who makes being a kid awesome. She manages our family and our home as a stay-at-home mom, shuttling kids around to school, dance, gymnastics, football, basketball and every other activity under the sun. Our home is a gathering place for friends and family because she strives to make it welcoming and fun. Kate is loving, forgiving, kind and cares deeply for friends and family. She keeps us moving in the right direction, and we would be lost without her!

Being a parent is our greatest gift, and we wake up daily knowing what a great responsibility it is to raise our children in the direction they should go. We want you to know that we strive daily to point our children in the direction of Christ, to love them unconditionally and to show them how proud we are of who God made them to be. We will do the same for your child, and we will love your child with all of our hearts!

We also want you to know that our good God is telling you, “Do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”

Much love to you,
Kate & Brack
