Anthony and Krystle’s Letter

Dear Birth Mother,

We cannot even begin to tell you how many times we have sat down to write this letter. There is something about writing a letter to a person we do not yet know and asking them to consider choosing us to raise their child that is just so intimidating. We have prayed, thought and dreamed about this day for a long time. We are so happy that you have chosen life and are considering adoption for your already so beloved baby. Although we know this decision is difficult, we believe that you will make the best choice for your child. We honestly cannot wait to honor your child’s roots and heritage, while also celebrating our traditions with them.

We are Anthony and Krystle. We were high school sweethearts and have been married for nearly 15 years. We were blessed to be able to buy our first house two years ago and have worked very hard to make it a true home for our family. Anthony is a native Texan, born and raised. Krystle is a California girl that got to Texas as fast as she could. We live in Pearland, which is a suburb of Houston. Our city has such a great small town feel that we loved so much growing up, that we decided to raise our family here.

First and foremost, we are the ultimate animal lovers. We currently have two rescue dogs, a cat and a bearded dragon lizard. Joey and Hurley are the most spoiled and loving dogs. If you let them, they will cuddle with you forever. Our home is a beautiful one-story, 4-bedroom brick home with a backyard built for making memories. We live in a small neighborhood that has a great park.

Family is everything to us. One of our favorite things to do is be with our people. We spend most weekends with them. We love to be around the people that we care about the most and cannot wait to see these people love on our child.

Anthony owns a martial arts and fitness business that centers around teaching our community to defend themselves and build confidence, while loving others. He loves being active and outdoors. He can usually be found at the gym, playing disc golf, surfing or training in martial arts with his friends. He also volunteers in our church’s student ministry, as a student mentor for our school district and is on the board of a local non-profit. Krystle is a dental assistant and works at a private multi-specialty practice. In her free time, she enjoys being with the ladies of our friend group, crafting and DIY projects. Together, we enjoy traveling, road trips with lots of Carpool Karaoke or just spending a Friday night on our couch watching a good movie while we eat takeout and cuddle with our dogs.

Throughout our marriage, we have prayed and dreamed of starting a family that is centered around love and tradition. We want to pass on our own family’s traditions to our children. Anthony lived with his grandmother as a child, and every night she would read a book to him before bed, even before he could read or talk. We want to continue this with our child, and our friends have already contributed by suggesting or giving us their favorite books from their childhoods. Another tradition that we wish to pass down is Krystle’s grandmother’s love for Christmas! Each Christmas, we visit Grandma’s house in Nevada, and it looks more and more like the North Pole every year. Christmas is our favorite holiday because it allows us to celebrate the love of our family together.

Thank you for taking the time to read this letter and considering us as you go through this process. We understand that you have a lot of options, and we are so glad that you got to see who we are and what we are all about.

With love and blessings,
Anthony, Krystle, Joey, Hurley and Sugar
