Dear Birth Mother,
You are a very special and strong person, and we can’t imagine what you’ve been through and are going through. We are thankful for you and your decision to do what you feel is best for your baby. We have been praying for you and will continue to do so in the months and years to come. It is our goal to provide a loving home for your baby who will grow up to love the Lord and to be the best version of himself or herself. Thank you for taking the time to read this letter and know that we value you.
Adoption is something that’s been on our hearts for a while now and we have known we wanted to be parents long before we were even married. We are now ready to grow our family. We cannot wait to become parents and share our love and our lives with a child. Your baby will be a huge blessing to us from God and an answer to our prayers. We feel called to adopt and look forward to awaiting the birth of your child with open arms and hearts that are ready to receive him or her. We’ve both been touched by adoption in several different ways and look forward to seeing the plans God has for our adoption story.
We are blessed to have both come from large Christian families and who are all excited about being able to love and support a grandchild, niece/nephew, cousin, etc. We cannot wait to have your baby become a part of our family and to give him or her the same love that we’ve been given ourselves. We are also blessed to be part of a strong local church that continues to support us along the same Christian path on which we were raised. Our church’s mission is to “Live Love,” and our church is supporting our adoption through prayer and encouragement regularly. We have a great group of friends at church who are starting their own families, so your baby would have great friends starting at an early age.
Shannon is an RN who works as a pediatric nurse and already has the baby’s doctor picked out. Shannon is known for having a loving and compassionate heart. Adam works in financial services at a financial firm. He is a supportive and loving husband who is dedicated to his family and friends. We both enjoy spending time with children and have loved being an aunt and uncle to our nephews. We both have bachelor’s degrees from Christian universities, and education is very important to us. Shannon has a bachelor of science in nursing with a minor in psychology and Adam has a degree in education with a minor in Spanish. At home we enjoy playing with our goldendoodle, Macy, playing games, cooking/eating healthy, watching movies, and spending time with family and friends. Shannon’s parents live in our neighborhood and will play a big role in your child’s life, as well as her brother who lives in the same town. We also enjoy traveling, especially to Tennessee where Adam’s parents, siblings, and many extended family members are, as well as Connecticut, where Shannon’s sister, brother-in-law, and nephews live.
We started dating in late 2013 and got married in mid-2015. We feel our marriage is stronger now than ever and are ready to pour our love and energy into a child’s upbringing. We pray God’s blessings upon you and your child as you make decisions for your child in the near future. Please know that you are in our thoughts and prayers.
