Melanie Wallace

Family Services Caseworker | East Texas Office

Melanie has always been drawn towards adoption and serving people in need. She attended Lamar University where she received her bachelor’s degree in social work in 1993. Following graduation, Melanie began working for the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services (TDFPS) as a Family Preservation Caseworker. In addition to working for the state, she also worked for another adoption agency and even pursued some short-term missions with her husband and son. Melanie came to work with Christian Homes & Family Services in April of 2011. As a Family Services Caseworker, Melanie helps women with unplanned pregnancies through the process of choosing adoption, the emotional state of delivery and even after placement of the child. She also supports adoptive families from the beginning process of preparing for the adoption through the finalization of the adoption. She loves what this ministry stands for, “A Christian home for every child.” She believes Christian Homes is changing the lives of children and families, one child and one family at a time.
