Jonathan and Megan's Letter

Dear Birth Mother,

Thank you for taking the time to get to know us better. We understand that this is a very trying time in your life and want you to know we are praying God will give you strength and comfort in your journey. We have the deepest respect for you and the love you have for your baby. It is our hope this letter will answer some questions you may have about us as a couple.

We are Jonathan and Megan. We have been married since 2006 and have been blessed with one son through adoption. We have absolutely loved being parents to him and are really excited about growing our family again with another child. We feel to be chosen to love and cherish a child by their birth mother to be the highest honor one could receive as a parent. The placement of a child is a gift from God, one that comes with great responsibility. We want this child to always know the love that both you and us have for them.

We were introduced to one another at church, dated for five years, and were married after college. Since marriage, we have attended the same church congregation faithfully. We are very active in the teaching program and youth activities. We live in a small neighborhood just outside of a small town. We are close to our family and get together with them often. Our excited to adopt family includes several cousins, aunts, uncles, Papa, Nana, Pa, Mamoo, and great grandpa “Big Pa”. Some of our favorite activities include camping, kayaking, and stargazing, but we also enjoy activities focused around our son like playing in the yard and going to the aquarium. Our Yorkie, Bailey, is always up for a game of fetch. We also love a relaxing movie night at home with gooey chocolate chip cookies and milk.

Jonathan is a buyer for a large metal recycling company. His job allows him to have some flexibility in his schedule. He can be close to home if he needs to be during the week and is off every weekend. In his free time Jonathan enjoys spending time with his family, fishing, metal working, and home improvement projects. He is a very friendly and caring person and is always willing to help someone out.

Megan is an RN and works on an as needed basis at a local hospital. However, the majority of the time she is at home with our son. She plans to continue staying at home after we adopt another child as well. She enjoys spending time with her family, cooking, scrapbooking, and sewing. Hiking and camping are her outdoor favorites, and she loves s’mores around the campfire in the fall.

We have enjoyed doing many things together throughout our marriage, but we have most enjoyed being parents together. Adoption is something we have put a lot of thought and prayer into, and we know you have as well. Our hope is to be able to surround our children with a loving, encouraging, Christian atmosphere throughout their life. We look forward to continuing this journey and getting to know you better. We will be praying daily for you and your baby.

Sincerely,

Jonathan & Megan
