We love to travel and explore new places.  We are members of a roller coaster enthusiasts club and we love riding roller coasters and visiting amusement parks around the country.  We spend lots of time with our extended family members and love hanging out at Alan’s family’s lake house.  We enjoy volunteer work through our church and are both active in regular Bible study.  We are truly best friends.  We love each other’s company and laugh and play together.

Alan is a self-employed professional and to some extent, he is able to set his own work schedule. This permits us to have flexibility with vacation time and lets him be at home when needed. Although Melanie currently works a few days a week with Alan as his office manager, she plans to be a full-time mom after a baby is placed in our home. Our families are thrilled with our decision and can't wait to become grandparents, great-grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
