A Letter from T.J. and Marin
Dear Birth Mother,
This is such an unbelievably difficult decision you have to make right now. We appreciate your taking the time to read our letter. We want you to know how much we appreciate your strength and admire the love that you have for this child. We pray that whatever decision you make, you find strength and guidance from God during this difficult time.
We are T.J. and Marin. We were married three years ago and looked forward to sharing our lives with children. After two and a half years of trying, we discovered that having biological children is not possible. We looked to adoption because our future includes children, biological or not. To choose a family to raise your baby is an amazing responsibility, to be chosen by you, is such a blessing and a gift. We can promise your baby will always know how much you loved them.
We live in a small rural town in West Texas. We are in town but on the very outside edge. We are very blessed to have each other, as friends and spouses. We are devoted to each other and our faith. We go to church regularly and volunteer within our church. T.J.‘s parents and grandmother live in our same small town. His sister lives nearby, as well. Marin’s parents live in Colorado but have recently bought a place in Texas and plan to move in the near future. In our family we have four dogs: Daisy-a black lab who is definitely a daddy’s girl, Mini and Roxy-who are miniature Australian Shepherds that go to agility and dog training classes, and Diva-who is a miniature Dachshund with a personality that matches her name.
T.J. is a veterinarian and works with all kinds of animals. His hobbies include hunting, riding horses, and fishing. He is also on a trap shooting team and competes weekly. He does a lot around the house. He has built our fence, laid flooring in our house, and is currently working on the inside of our garage.
Marin is a fourth grade teacher in our small town. She is a very outgoing and talkative person. She enjoys running, triathlons, and bike/run races. Right now she is training for a marathon. She also enjoys hunting, fishing, and camping. She loves to be outside working on the house and gardening.
While we have many interests individually, together we love to travel, ski, camp, and read. We enjoy going to football and basketball games at the school. When we are not at our jobs or working on the house, we enjoy quiet nights at home watching TV or going out to dinner and movies.
We love each other very much and want nothing more than to share that love and all that we do with a child. This would not be possible without your strength, and for that we are grateful.
T.J. and Marin
