A Letter from Gregg and Keisha

Gregg and Keisha

Dear Birthmother,

We are truly humbled by your decision to choose life for your child.  We cannot begin to understand the difficulty of your decision, but we pray that you will have great peace in the choice you make.

We are Gregg and Keisha and have been married since 2004, and it has been full of adventure!  We met at church and were friends before we started dating.  After dating for a year, we got engaged and were married three months later.  When we sit back and think about the last six years, we are just so amazed by the Lord’s goodness.  We started trying to grow our family about two years after we got married.  Throughout the last four years, we have experienced recurrent miscarriages and infertility, but we know the Lord had a purpose for those experiences—and that was to bring us to adoption.  We truly view a precious child through adoption as a GIFT, a MIRACLE and more than worth the wait.

Gregg is in outside sales for a company that sells metal building components for buildings like churches, barns, and other businesses.  Gregg loves anything outdoors—fishing, hunting, working outside in the yard, being out on the lake in our boat…you name it!  He also enjoys remodeling homes—he has such a great eye for this and we have had the opportunity to flip a few homes since we’ve been married.  In addition, he loves to cook—which is a bonus for our family!

Keisha is in marketing and is in project management at an agency where she provides creative and marketing strategy for her client, which is a bank in the north.  She started out as an intern and has worked her way up in the organization over the last ten years.  She is very blessed to be in a position that provides a flexible schedule.  Keisha is an outgoing people person.  She loves to have people over for dinner and games, going to the lake, fishing, planning events, and being Gregg’s side-kick in our home remodeling adventures.

We have a chocolate lab named Shiner that cracks us up.  He has such a funny personality.  He would much rather hang out with people than other dogs and loves to go hunting with Gregg.  Gregg trained him to be a hunting dog, so he’s extremely well mannered and is very gentle with children.  He loves (repeat LOVES) being out on the boat and going swimming in the lake.  We got Shiner about six months after we got married, so it’s hard to remember a time without him.

We both love serving alongside each other in our church, as well.  We are actively involved in a couple’s Bible study group that meets weekly where we focus on our relationship with the Lord and challenge each other to learn and apply what the Bible teaches.  We also serve in various ministries in our church that minister to single mothers, widows, and families struggling with infertility.  Our desire is to teach our children by example that joyfully serving others is not only what we are called to do, but a blessing.  We truly desire to raise our children in a way that transforms their daily lives and the lives of those around them.

We recently moved into a new house that will be the home where we look forward to raising children.  We chose this area because family is close by and the schools are excellent.  Our house backs up to a walking/biking trail and there is a children’s spray park and two ponds where we can fish or feed ducks in our neighborhood.

We, along with a close group of family and friends, have been praying daily for the birthmother that chooses us and the child she carries inside of her.  We pray for her protection, health, and peace of mind about her decision.  We can’t wait to meet her and see what the Lord has in store for all of us!  Our family and friends are thrilled we are adopting and are excited to journey alongside us.

Thank you for considering us as adoptive parents for your child!

Because of His grace,
Gregg and Keisha
