A Letter from Doug and Cindy
Dear Birthmother,
You and your baby are loved, and we are praying for you. We cannot even imagine the emotions you feel and are going through during this time of your life. You have made a very courageous decision of love to give your baby life; God will honor you for that. We pray for God’s peace in your heart and for His love to hold you, guide you, and comfort you as you decide the future for your baby.
We are Doug and Cindy. We have been married for 15 years and look forward to many, many more years together. We love being together and are each other’s best friend. We are so excited to begin our family that we can share our lives, love, and faith with. We cannot wait to be able to hear each day little feet running around our house with lots of love, hugs, and giggles. We have longed for this day. Children bring so much life to everything; they have unconditional love and are dear to the heart of God Himself. We love children and could not imagine living the rest of our lives without having a family. We have not been able to have biological children; and, after years of praying, God has put it in our hearts to adopt. We are so thankful and our hearts are filled with gratitude for this opportunity to adopt.
We live in a 3 bedroom home in a friendly, safe, and quiet neighborhood. Our home is filled with God’s love and peace. We enjoy spending our time with each other, watching a movie, and taking day drives or out of town trips. We are both committed Christians who put Jesus first in our lives daily and in everything we do. We love being in the ministry together and we have a wonderful church family who is so good to us. We both have large extended families with lots of nieces and nephews, and they are all so excited for this precious new gift God is adding to our family. They cannot wait to be able to hold, kiss, and play with their new family member. We love family get togethers, especially to celebrate holidays and birthdays.
Doug is the Senior Pastor of our church and has his Bachelor’s degree in Ministry. He loves people and loves to minister to them, pray for them, and encourage them. He is such a blessing to our church family but also to the community where we live. He is respected by so many people. He is blessed to have a flexible schedule that allows him to get in plenty of family and home time. He loves the outdoors and enjoys nature. Twice a year he travels to the state where he was born and raised to see family and enjoy hunting in the outdoors.
Cindy helps her husband co-pastor the church through administration and fills in wherever needed. She works at the church a couple of days a week. She enjoys spending time at home and also taking care of her 20-month-old niece a couple of times a week. She loves spending time with her family, shopping, and swimming at her sister’s with her nieces and nephews. She looks forward to being a stay-at-home mom.
Thank you so much for your interest in us to be parents for your baby. Our continued prayers and love are for you and your baby. Remember God loves you so much and He will never leave you or forsake you ever.
Love,
Doug and Cindy
